We’re excited to announce our new three-year community engagement partnership with KPMG.
We launched this new partnership last week with an exciting new collaboration with SoCO (Society for Community Organisation). Three of our team members – Peter Jericevich, Jenny Myrans and Nathan Tweedy – delivered six ‘Tackling English’ sessions for children aged 3-6 from SoCO with KPMG in Sham Shui Po. The sessions focussed on using rugby as a medium to encourage children to learn and practice speaking English – we did this though lots of games, smiles and fun!
The week came to an epic finish on Saturday at the AIA wheel with a big sports day for all the kids! There was face painting and rugby-based activities led by our very own Rugby Coaches Hammo, Kei Kei and Peter, and players Kat, Ty, Dayne, Rory and Nathan! There was even a stand off tug-of-war between our forwards and the kids who formed their own backs squad! A big thanks to all the volunteers from KPMG who turned up on mass to help out and ensured that the kids had an amazing time, and to the HKRU for supplying all the equipment.
After lots of running around and having a blast, the little rascals were treated to a ride on the wheel thanks to AIA who provided everyone with tickets. We hope that the kids enjoyed the day as much as we did!
Thank you to KPMG, SoCO, AIA Vitality Park, HKRU and all our coaches for ensuring this was a big success.
