Building on its successful history, the Hong Kong Scottish Touch Funday 2026 returned to King’s Park for its third annual edition with an expanded, highly competitive 9-team lineup. Featuring Jardines, Hang Seng Bank, North District, HKS OLDS, HKS FOLDS, HKS Dolphins, Eagles, Kowloon Rays, and the Sai Kung Stingrays, this year’s tournament beautifully showcased the diversity of the local Touch Rugby community. The event brought together 153 players and over 50 enthusiastic supporters, creating an electric atmosphere as two corporate teams, four touch teams, and three domestic helper teams faced off. The Single Round-Robin format was a massive hit, delivering 36 action-packed matches and guaranteeing a rewarding 106 minutes of game time for every single squad.

While the rugby was fast-paced, the competition remained completely friendly and fun, epitomizing the true heart of this third Touch Funday. The day was also a wonderful family affair, highlighted by Edmund To from the HKS OLDS squad, who took the field alongside his 9-year-old daughter for their very first match together.

An event of this scale relies heavily on an incredible team behind the scenes, beginning with the HK Scottish FOLDS organising committee and a dedicated officiating crew of 9 internal and 3 external referees. A special shout-out goes to Sing Chung for keeping the tournament running as the Control Tower Manager, and to Jon Ma on his refereeing debut. Major credit also goes to Simon Fung, Sam Lau, Double Cheng, and Arthur Chan for heroic refereeing back-to-back matches, and to Fung Tsz Hin, Tony Tai, Kate Yung, Calvin Tang, Eric Yung, Steve Lai, and Riko (pushed through illness) for holding down the fort flawlessly. Logistical support was provided by On Tsz Ho and Sarah Sum on water delivery, alongside Phyllis Choi keeping everyone safe as the on-site First Aider.

The unforgettable moments of the day were beautifully captured through the blistering sun by photographers Karmen Poon and Zoey Chan. Finally, a special thank you to Andrew, Charlotte and Angela for providing support on behalf of Hong Kong Scottish. This third edition was a phenomenal celebration of sportsmanship, growth, and community—setting an unbeatable benchmark for 2027!
