Can you tell us a bit about your rugby journey/background to date?

My Mum and Dad took me to join my first team when I was 6. My career started at Ivybridge College where I was also involved in the Exeter Chiefs Academy. From there I joined Brixham, then Plymouth Albion where I’ve been for the past 4 years. Towards the end of the year I reached 101 appearances. I’ve now joined London Scottish and then had the chance to come to Hong Kong which is an amazing opportunity.

What did you study at University and what do (did) you do for work?

I went to Plymouth University to study Primary Education with a Physical Education specialism. I’ve been working as a Primary School PE Teacher for the past 2 years, alongside my rugby.

If you weren’t a rugby player, which other sport/s would you play?

If I wasn’t a rugby player, it would have to be a team sport. I’d probably play football – I wasn’t too bad when I was growing up.

What are you looking forward to most about life in Hong Kong and playing for Hong Kong Scottish?

I’m extremely excited to come to Hong Kong and join Scottish. I am looking forward to experiencing a brand new culture, and playing some exciting rugby with some new team mates.

What should we expect from you next season (on and off the pitch)?

On the pitch, I like to play heads up rugby and take the ball to the line. If it’s on, then you have to take your opportunities, but also you have to understand when to manage the game. Off the pitch I want to fully throw myself into everything available – socials, locations, activities, etc. I want to make the most of my time in HK.

Do you have any hidden talents…?

I wouldn’t say I have any hidden talents! Over lockdown I got quite into cooking and I’m alright in the kitchen. Really like my coffee and can just about pour a latte heart.

What’s your favourite pre-match song?
