Rory Drummond (Flanker / No.8)

Rory joins us from Boroughmuir Rugby Club in Scotland. He is a dominant force and brings a lot of experience, having played for Watsonians FC, Scotland U20s, Scotland Club XV and Glasgow Warriors.

Rory has a BA in Business Studies and has been working as an Associate Director of Business Development for Aberdeen Standard Investments.

Interesting fact: Rory once hitched a lift from Sean Connery. You’ll have to ask him to elaborate…

 

Harry Baron (Hooker)

 

Harry will be joining us from St Albans, England. A former London Wasps U18 Academy player, Harry played for Guernsey Raiders last season and looks forward to a new adventure in Hong Kong.

Harry has an undergraduate degree in Biological Sciences and postgraduate degree in management (International Business) and has been working as an Assistant Analyst for the International Stock Exchange Ltd.

Interesting fact: he changed his name from Henry to Harry when he was 16!

Charlie Morgan (2nd Row / Back Row)

 

Charlie joins us from the West Midlands, England. Charlie is a former Worcester Warriors U18 and England Counties U18 player, having played and coached at his university – Exeter University – last season.

Charlie has just completed his undergraduate degree in Business and Management and graduated last month. Congratulations Charlie!

Interesting fact: Charlie can dance and act. He tried his hand at ballet and starred in stage musicals before pursing his rugby career

Ben Lee (Wing / Centre)

Ben lives in Hong Kong and is currently training with the Hong Kong 7s team. He is a bright, young prospect and previously played for Bristol Academy and Cleve RFC in Bristol, as well as a stint for Bristol Sonics Rugby League team.

Ben studied law in the UK at the University of the West of England.
Interesting fact: Ben was born and raised in Hong Kong and speaks fluent Cantones

Mike Green (Centre / Wing)

Mike joins us from Bathco Rugby Club in Spain (so is well used to playing in the heat). Mike started out his rugby-playing career as an Apprentice at the Crusader Academy, before going on to play for Canterbury from 2014-17.

Mike studied at Lincoln University on a full rugby scholarship and has a BA in Sport and Recreation Management.

Interesting fact: Mike was given the nickname ‘Pickle’ at Primary School and it stuck ever since. Even today, most people know him as Pickle over Mike.

 

New Coaching Appointment

Peter Jericevich

Former Scotland 7s player, Peter Jericevich will be joining the coaching team next season as Assistant Coach for 1st XV, as well as providing coach development support across the club.

Peter joins us from Scotland where he has been working as a Coach Development Officer and Strength and Conditioning Coach for Scottish Rugby. He is also Assistant Coach for Stirling County RFC – one of the new Super Six teams. Peter has an impressive coaching track record, having coached at various age grade levels, national women’s XV and 7s level. He is also a World Rugby Master Trainer and accredited UKSCA Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Peter also plays 9,10 and wing, and will be bringing his boots ready to play.
Interesting fact: Peter’s heritage is a mix of Scottish, Croatian and Maori. His father is part Maori / part Croatian (born in NZ) and mother is Scottish. All of Peter’s brother’s have Maori names and Croatian surnames (Rangi, Tane and Tai). Peter just has the Croatian surname!
